Hi Readers, Before the UPA government goes into 22nd July with the trust vote, what do you think? Will it survive the trust vote? By the way the poll closes by tonight 12.01 am pm [The time has been extended. The zero hour starts at 5.30 p.m tomorrow]
If we agree to the 123, then we have to disclose all the info regarding our nuclear resources to US and the world which is ridiculous. Whatever we gotta do, we have to get their permission. For a India which is going to become a economic super power, we dont have to cling on their heels in the future. Hence we have to abate from their feet. They are pulling India to thier abattoir.
Its not just 123 agreement that matters at this point of time. We need a stable government in this tough time. We dont want one that will fall when someone sneezes in some corner of the country…..
@Ashwani,
Hi, thanks for putting your thoughts, but I would rather say, that inspite of this horse trading going on, whom do you ‘believe’ [need not be a right belief, after all everything is possible here] to come out victorious. And that is one reason why I didnt give a third alternative…
@bonchi
Yes, I did happen to read that, but I am not yet ready for such an argument. For it denies right at the core the success stories of other countries. If politicians are indeed playing by certain materialistic rules, we would actually have more of Zimbabwes and Somalia’s. I guess the basic deficit is in the lack of sound economic knowledge in Indian politicians and society as such.
But did you take into consideration that, there will be 6 defections, 10 absentations and a whole lot of shebang in between
I bet, nobody did!
But it actually gave a lot of drama to the entire thing… but at the end perhaps as Harish Salve[Attorney,Supreme Court] told we showed the foreigners that we are nothing other than a “glorified banana republic”
I will add a curse word out there… bloody “glorified banana republic”

Well poised perspective Nishant

And Ashwani thanks, I just wanted to have an idea what exactly do we think about it…
As of now,(22nd Jul, 3:25 pm) UPA has around 275 MPs in bag..slightly above the half mark of 269….lets wait and watch..
I thought the majority needed is 272….
But the margin is wafer thin
UPA wins – 275 votes…
my prediction is right!! Maybe Advani has to consult me next time…;)
Yes… yes… yes…
Yes my boy…
